Working as part of a team of Residential Childcare Practitioners takes a particular set of skills and personal values that embody providing the best quality care for children, young people and families. Children require appropriate boundaries, safety, consistency of care and love. The staff team employed within the organisation have demonstrated these skills and values inherently whilst building their learning and development around the individual, and often complex needs of the child.
All employees of the organisation are subject to safer recruitment checks including the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme. This is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our children and young people. Residential Child Care Practitioners are required to complete both mandatory and needs-led training. All care staff are registered with The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
